The question is asking to choose among the following choices that states the value of the point e if the ration of ce to cd is 3/8, base on that and on my further calculation, I would say that the value of point e is -1. I hope you are satisfied with my answer and feel free to ask for more

the picture in the attached figure

we have

the x- coordinate of point C is equal to -9

the x- coordinate of point D is equal to 7

Find the distance CD

the distance CD is equal to

dCD=7-(-9)\\ dCD=16 units

we know that

\frac{CE}{CD} =\frac{3}{8} \\ \\ 8CE=3CD\\ CE=\frac{3}{8}CD

Find the distance CE

CE=\frac{3}{8}CD\\ \\ CE=\frac{3}{8}*16\\ \\ CE=6units

Find the coordinate of point E

Point.E=Point.C+distance.CE\\ Point.E=-9+6\\ Point.E=-3

therefore

the answer is

The coordinate of point E is -3

In a survey of college students, each of the following was found. Of these students, 355 owned a tablet, 292 owned a laptop, 280
avanturin [10]

Add all the numbers together to find the total amount of college students surveyed.

355 + 292 + 280 + 191 + 198 + 136 + 66 + 24 = 1,542

The number is already simplified considering it's a whole number. The answer is either 1,542 or 1,500

<em>(I say either because when it says to simplify I'm not sure if they want it to be rounded.)</em>

If you use the addition property of equality , what number would you add to both sides of the equal sign to isolate the variable
kkurt [141]

Answer:

The answer is "\frac{26}{7}"

Step-by-step explanation:

The whole question can be found in the file attached.

\to x + \frac{5}{7} = \frac{31}{7}\\\\

Subtracting the \frac{5}{7} from both sides of the equations:

\to x +\frac{5}{7}  - \frac{5}{7}  = \frac{31}{7}  - \frac{5}{7} \\\\

                    = \frac{31-5}{7} \\\\= \frac{26}{7} \\\\

Jerome tries to find the value of the expression 3 - 6 + 5 by first applying the commutative property he rewrites the expression
Lana71 [14]
  • Wrong in sign change

How?

  • In commutative law the sign doesn't change whenever it is applied.

Thus

\\ \sf{:}\implies 3-6+5

\\ \sf{:}\implies 3\underline{+5-6}

\\ \sf{:}\implies 8-6

\\ \sf{:}\implies 2
