<span>Inhalant abuse is also referred to as intoxicative inhalant. These inhalants are products of industrial and household production in which their purpose does not include inhalation. They are taken from a container that is highly pressurized or by room temperature volatilization. Examples of these are butane (inside a canister), rugby, thinner, paints, etc.  They are inhaled through the nose and trachea. The effects can be traumatizing depending on the substance used.
