Answer:

Ireland to flee from a potato famine

Explanation:

Another genuine surge of movement from Europe to America occurred from around 1815 to 1865. The majority of these newcomers hailed from Northern and Western Europe to get away from starvation.

Around 33% began from Ireland, which went through a significant famine in the mid-nineteenth century. During the 1840s, for all intents and purposes half of America's outsiders were from Ireland alone.

What effect did duties on british goods have on trade between states?
Sliva [168]
Many states restricted British imports, but they did not all impose the same duties, or taxes, on foreign goods. The British took their goods to the states with the lowest taxes. From there they moved those products to the other states. The states tried to prevent the British from exploiting the different trade laws by levying tariffs on British goods that crossed state lines. The Congress could not address the problem because it had no power to regulate commerce. Each state was beginning to act independently, which threatened the unity of the new nation.

Why did workers organize strikes in the early 1800s?
stellarik [79]

Because work conditions were awful and pay was minuscule, forcing them to live on the streets or if they were lucky to live in a small box of an apartment. Owners abused their authority over their workers and because of this, the workers attempted to fight back. This was not met with friendliness, however, when the owners hired soldiers to wound and kill those who went strike.

Ethos is a speaker’s ability to build credibility, establish himself/herself as an expert, and/or convince the audience members
Leona [35]

Answer:

Ethos is built through syntax.

Explanation:

Ethos is on of the three "ingredients of persuasion" mentioned by Aristotle. The others are pathos and logos. it represents an ethical appeal.

Ethos confirms the credibility of the speaker and listeners are persuaded by his argument; it is very important to remark that ethos is built by how the speaker chooses his own words or phrases and how they are told to the audience, which is, basically, the definition of syntax.
