What is the rate of change of that function that you are talking about?

but a linear equation is y = mx + b
in which b is the y-intercept and so
(0,5) means that y-intercept is 5

so whatever the rate of change of "this function" is, you would only have to simplify it as instructed and add 5 to the equation

Your answer is the relation is not a function as it doesn't pass the vertical line test. This means every x-value as one and only one corresponding y-value. There are two different y-values at x = 1.

Help me get and explain how i do this
iogann1982 [59]

Answer:

1/78

Step-by-step explanation:

6 brown + 5 blue + 2 orange marbles = 13 marbles

P (orange1) = number of orange / total

                   = 2/ 13

Now we keep the marble

6 brown + 5 blue + 1 orange marbles = 12 marbles

P (orange2) = number of orange / total

                   = 1/ 12

P (orange, keep, orange) =P(orange1) + P( orange2)

                                              2/13*1/12 =  2/156 = 1/78

Identify the recursive formula for the sequence -3, 9, -27, 81, ....
OLEGan [10]

Answer:

A

Step-by-step explanation:

there is a common ratio between consecutive terms , that is

9 ÷ - 3 = - 27 ÷ 9 = 81 ÷ - 27 = - 3

this indicates the sequence is geometric.

the recursive formula allows a term in the sequence to be found by multiplying the previous term by the common ratio r , that is

f(n) = - 3f(n - 1) if n > 1 : f(1) = - 3
