9×3=27

10^10 × 10^5 = 10^15

the answer is 27×10^15

But when writing in scientific notation the answer is 2.7× 10^16

If y=5x-3, which of the following sets represents possible inputs and outputs of the function, represented as ordered pairs?
RUDIKE [14]
<h3>Answer: Choice B</h3><h3>(-1,-8), (0,-3), (3,12)</h3>

==========================================

Explanation:

If we plug in x = 2, then

y = 5x-3

y = 5*2-3

y = 7

Meaning (2,7) is on the function instead of (2,5). So this rules out choice A

--------------------------

If we plug in x = 1, then

y = 5x-3

y = 5*1-3

y = 2

Allowing us to rule out choice C because (1,2) is on the function instead of (1,4)

--------------------------

Now let's try x = 5

y = 5x-3

y = 5*5-3

y = 22

Showing (5,22) is on the graph instead of (5,20). We can rule out choice D.

--------------------------

The only thing left is choice B

Plugging in x = -1 leads to

y = 5x-3

y = 5(-1)-3

y = -8

We see that (-1,-8) is on the graph.

Plugging in x = 0 leads to

y = 5x-3

y = 5(0)-3

y = -3

The point (0,-3) is on the graph

Finally, plug in x = 3

y = 5x-3

y = 5*3-3

y = 12

The point (3,12) is on the graph

The points all mentioned in choice B are on the graph of y = 5x-3, so this confirms choice B as the answer.

What is the measure of angle NOP
White raven [17]

For any inscribed quadrilateral, the opposite angles add to 180

(angle PMN) + (angle NOP) = 180

(8x-24) + (4x) = 180

12x-24 = 180

12x-24+24 = 180+24  ..... add 24 to both sides

12x = 204

12x/12 = 204/12 ..... divide both sides by 12

x = 17

angle NOP = 4x

angle NOP = 4*17

<h3>angle NOP = 68 degrees</h3>
