I believe the answer is $48 because 6 * 2 is 12 and 12 * 2 is 24 and 24 * 2 is 48, thus 48$. Please feel free to check my work, though.

Elanso [62]

Answer:

Hello,

I have reply too quick in comments (sorry)

Step-by-step explanation:

\left\{\begin{array}{ccc}log_x (27)+log_y (4)=5\\log_x (27)-log_y (4)=1\\\end{array}\right.\\\\\\\left\{\begin{array}{ccc}2*log_x (27)=6\\2*log_y (4)=4\\\end{array}\right.\\\\\\\left\{\begin{array}{ccc}log_x (27)=3\\log_y (4)=2\\\end{array}\right.\\\\\\\left\{\begin{array}{ccc}x^{log_x (27)}=x^3\\y^{log_y (4)}=y^2\\\end{array}\right.\\\\\\\left\{\begin{array}{ccc}27=x^3\\4=y^2\\\end{array}\right.\\\\\\\left\{\begin{array}{ccc}x=3\\y=2\\\end{array}\right.\\\\

-3.6,-5.4,-8.1,-12.15 arithmetic or geometric or neither.
Brums [2.3K]

Answer:

Geometric Sequence

Step-by-step explanation:

1. Check the difference.

The difference between the 1st and 2nd term

( - 5.4) - ( - 3.6) = - 1.8

The difference between the 2nd and 3rd term

( - 8.1) - ( - 5.4) = - 2.7

The difference is not the same. Therefore, it is not an arithmetic sequence.

2. Check the ratio

The ratio between the 1st and 2nd term

( - 5.4) \div ( - 3.6) = 1.5

The ratio between the 2nd and 3rd term

( - 8.1) \div ( - 5.4) = 1.5

The ratio is the same. Therefore, it is a geometric sequence.
