2. what sources will have this information ? it's good to use Wikipedia or educational sites that are verified.
3. will you be able to research this question and address the answer in a research paper within time frame? what's your time frame for 3 weeks for 5 page essay that should be easy to do and enough time

What information do you need to research in order to answer this question?

Because this is scientific subject, we need scholarly (because these are serious and have all citations) and substantive sources (easier to understand due to general language and the purpose to inform). Sites and sources that are official and always check with at least two reliable sources.

What sources will have this information?

Primary and secondary sources. Scholarly and substantive sources (for what I previously mentioned).

Will you be able to research this question and address the answer in a research paper within a reasonable timeframe?

For a four- to five-page essay that is due in three weeks, I think that with the appropiate sources, it is more than possible.
