To solve this problem you must apply the proccedure shown below:

1- The ladder forms an isosceles triangle, because it has two equal sides.

2- Let's call the angle \alpha. To calculate it , you can divide the triangle into two equal right triangles and the angle \alpha will be divided into two equal parts too. Therefore, you can calculate the half of the angle and then multiply it by two, as following:

Sin^{-1}(\alpha 1)=opposite/hypotenuse

Sin^{-1}(\alpha1)=8/2\\  \alpha1=14.47 degrees

\alpha =2\alpha 1\\ 2=2(14.47degrees)\\ \alpha =28.95degrees

The answer is: 28.95degrees

If lim x-> infinity ((x^2)/(x+1)-ax-b)=0 find the value of a and b
MAXImum [283]

We have

\dfrac{x^2}{x+1}=\dfrac{(x+1)^2-2(x+1)+1}{x+1}=(x+1)-2+\dfrac1{x+1}=x-1+\dfrac1{x+1}

So

\displaystyle\lim_{x\to\infty}\left(\frac{x^2}{x+1}-ax-b\right)=\lim_{x\to\infty}\left(x-1+\frac1{x+1}-ax-b\right)=0

The rational term vanishes as <em>x</em> gets arbitrarily large, so we can ignore that term, leaving us with

\displaystyle\lim_{x\to\infty}\left((1-a)x-(1+b)\right)=0

and this happens if <em>a</em> = 1 and <em>b</em> = -1.

To confirm, we have

\displaystyle\lim_{x\to\infty}\left(\frac{x^2}{x+1}-x+1\right)=\lim_{x\to\infty}\frac{x^2-(x-1)(x+1)}{x+1}=\lim_{x\to\infty}\frac1{x+1}=0

as required.

Answer:

x=3 and y= 4 / 3 (Fraction)

Step-by-step explanation:

Substitute x for 6y-5.

2(6y−5)−3y=2

Add 6y and 3y, and multiply 5 by 2/Simplify the equation.

9y−10=2

Add  10 to both sides, and then divide each side by 9.

9y−10+10=2+10

9y / 9 = 12 / 9

y = 4/3.

Repeat the process but replace y with 4/3!

each month for 6 month, kelsey completes 5 paintings. how many more paintinga does she need to complete before she completed 38
eimsori [14]
She needs to complete 8 more paintings. If you multiply 6 by 5, you get 30. Subtract 30 from 38, you would get 8.

me n my dad share the cost of a meal the ratio of 2:3 i payed £52.20 whats the total cost of the meal
Vlada [557]
For every 2 you pay your dad pays 3

52.20 / 2 = 26.1

26.1 * 3 = 78.30 ( amount dad pays)

total = 78.30 + 52.20 = 130.50
