The calcium-binding protein in smooth muscle is _______; while the calcium-binding protein in skeletal muscle is ______.
jarptica [38.1K]

Answer:

The calcium-binding protein in smooth muscle is __calmodulin_____; while the calcium binding protein in skeletal muscle is _troponin_____.

Explanation:

Proteins of union to the Ca2 + ion (calcium) are described, before their release in the cytosol in the muscle: the skeletal troponin participates, generating its contraction; and in the smooth one the same effect occurs with calmodulin (leading to the activation of a kinase that causes myosin phosphorylation).
