Take the division problem, and get the decimal answer, using a calculator, for example, 5 meters in 20 seconds, 5/20 is .25, so the unit form in this example would be .25 meters per second, dont forget the per, a unit expression basicly is the same ratio as the division problem but having a one on the right side, like in my example, .25 meters per 1 second

-32>-5+9x soLve for x
ale4655 [162]

Answer:

-3>x

Step-by-step explanation:

Rearrange the equation

1. Move - 5 onto the other side with - 32.

2. - 32 + 5 > 9x now because 5 was moved to the other side so the sign has changed.

3. - 27>9x, move 9 to the other side

4. - 27/9>X DIVIDE 27 by 9

5. - 3>X

Square the following general examples to determine the general rule for squaring a binomial:
gayaneshka [121]

Answer:

See explanation below.

Step-by-step explanation:

For part a we have the following expression:

(a+b)^2 = a^2 +2ab + b^2

And for part b we got:

(a-b)^2 = a^2 -2ab +b^2

On general we have the following formula:

(a+b)^n =\sum_{k=0}^n (nCk) a^{n-k} b^k

We see that if n=2 we have this:

(a+b)^2 =\sum_{k=0}^2 (2Ck) a^{2-k} b^k

(a+b)^2 = (2C0) a^2 b^0 + (2C1)a^{2-1} b^1 + (2C2) a^{2-2} b^2

(a+b)^2 = a^2 +2ab + b^2

And for the other possibility we have:

(a+b)^n =\sum_{k=0}^n (-1)^k (nCk) a^{n-k} b^k

We see that if n=2 we have this:

(a+b)^2 =\sum_{k=0}^2 (2Ck) a^{2-k} b^k

(a+b)^2 = (-1)^0 (2C0) a^2 b^0 +(-1)^1 (2C1)a^{2-1} b^1 + (-1)^2 (2C2) a^{2-2} b^2

(a+b)^2 = a^2 +2ab + b^2

So then we have the general expression for any binomial term elevated at any power.
