Daniel Defoe wrote the famous novel “Robinson Crusoe” that was published on April 25, 1719. The story refers to a man called Robinson that wants to leave the routine of life in the city and decides to explore the seas. He is shipwrecked and spends 26 years on a tropical island, where he meets Friday, his loyal servant. At the end of the novel, the significance of the date that Crusoe leaves the island is that it is the same date he made his scape from the Moors.
