If polygons are similar, the values of the lengths of the corresponding sides will have the same or common ratio. Similarly, the values of the measures of the corresponding angles will be equal. From the given, we derive the equation,
              
                          AB/JK = AE/JN
Substituting the known values,
                           3 / 2.4 = 5 / x
The value of x from the equation is 4. Thus, the length of JN is equal to 4.

But the first one is telling you to translate x, 3 units left, and translate y, 4 units up.

(-6, 0) will turn to (-9, 4)

I subtracted 3 from -6 and added 4 to 0.
