Answer: Option A and C

Explanation:

the geometric sequence is the sequence in which ratio of all consecutive terms is equal for example ratio of third term to the second term is equal to the ratio of second term to the first term.

Here are some general terms of geometric sequence a,ar,ar^{2}.........ar^{n-1}.

In option A  when \frac{5}{10} =\frac{1}{2} , \frac{2.5}{5} =\frac{1}{2}, \frac{1.25}{2.5} =\frac{1}{2} ,\frac{0.625}{1.25} =\frac{1}{2} and \frac{0.3125}{0.625} =\frac{1}{2} follow the rule of geometric sequence

In option B when \frac{10}{5} =2 ,\frac{15}{10} =\frac{3}{2} does not follow the rule of geometric sequence

In option C when \frac{-3}{-9} =\frac{1}{3} , \frac{-1}{-3} =\frac{1}{3}, \frac{\frac{-1}{3}} {-1} =\frac{1}{3} , \frac{\frac{-1}{9}} {\frac{-1}{3}}=\frac{1}{3} and \frac{\frac{-1}{27}}{\frac{-1}{9}} =\frac{1}{3}  follow the rule of geometric sequence

In option D \frac{1}{1} =1,  \frac{2}{1} =2 does not follow the rule of geometric sequence.

vladimir2022 [97]

Answer:

Amount of crimson velvet left = 3200 -  120 - 1400 = 1680  cm

Step-by-step explanation:

The arts and craft shop has a bolt of crimson velvet of 32 meters long. A customer bought 120 centimetres of the velvet. In the afternoon another customer bought 14 meters. The remaining length of crimson velvet Malik shop possess after the morning and afternoon sales can be calculated below.

The total length of the crimson velvet = 32 meters. Since our answer should be in centimetre we will convert all the units to cm.

total length = 32 m

1 m = 100 cm

32 m = ?

cross multiply

total length in cm = 32 × 100 = 3200 cm

The first customer bought 120 cm

The second customer bought 14 m so let convert again.

1 m = 100 cm

14 m = ?

cross multiply

the second customer length in cm = 14 × 100 = 1400 cm

The amount left in the shop will be as follows

Amount of crimson velvet left = 3200 -  120 - 1400 = 1680  cm

Marina saved $80 from her babysitting job. She wants to buy some shirts and pants that are on sale at her favourite store for $1
Orlov [11]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Total amount of money that Marina saved from her babysitting job is $80.

She wants to buy some shirts and pants that are on sale at her favourite store for $17 each. To determine how many items of clothing that she can buy, we would divide the total amount that she saved by the cost of each clothing. It becomes

80/17 = 4.7.

Since the number of clothing must be whole number, the number of clothing that she can buy would be 4
