The English Bill of Rights was an act of the English Parliament that provided protections to English citizens. The bill was passed on December 16, 1689. The bill created a separation of powers between the monarch's actions and its people. It limited the power of the king and queen over its people by demonstrating freedom of speech. Aside from these things, the bill enhanced the democratic election of the English citizens.

The English Bill of Rights was actually an inspiration for the United States Bill of Rights.
