Answer:

(2x-3)\frac{15}{5x+1}

Step-by-step explanation:

\frac{10x^2-13x+12}{5x+1}

We use long division to divide the numbers

                           2x    - 3

                     ---------------------------------------

    5x+1           10x^2 -13x+12

                       10x^2 +2x

                 ----------------------------------------------(subtract)

                                         -15x + 12

                                          -15x-3

                           ------------------------------------------(subtract)

                                                          15

Quotient is 2x -3

Remainder is 15

Marco is studying a type of mold that grows at a fast rate. He created the function f(x) = 345(1.30)x to model the number of mol
Ivahew [28]

1.30 represents the rate of growth of the mold spores. This decimal is a representation of the percentage growth, which would be 130%.

Since the function is written in terms of weeks, x will equal 4 to represent the amount of spores after 4 weeks. Plug the value into the function:

345(1.30)^4 = \boxed{985.35}

Rounded to the nearest ones value, there will be 985 mold spores after 4 weeks.

X- Y-
soldier1979 [14.2K]

Each time x goes up by 1, y also goes up by 1 as well.

slope = rise/run = 1/1 = 1

Or we can use the slope formula to get

m = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1) = (3-2)/(2-1) = 1/1 = 1

I used the first two rows as the points to plug into the slope formula.

You can pick any two rows you want and you'll get the same slope value.

--------------------------------------

Because we get the same result of 1 each time, this means the rate of change is <u>constant</u> and this function is <u>linear</u>. Plotting all four points will show a single straight line goes through all of them. See diagram below.
