It's 2/16 but to put it as a number it is 8 because you need to divide both 2 and sixteen by 2/2 (two halves). Hope this was helpful!

Compute 1 + 2 + 3 +....+ 1,997 + 1,998 + 1,999
sp2606 [1]

Answer:

1 999 000

Step-by-step explanation:

Formula:

1+2+3+.\ .\ .+n=\frac{n\times \left( n+1\right)  }{2}

………………………………………

Then

1+2+3+....+1997+1998+1999=\frac{1999\times \left( 1999+1\right)  }{2}

1+2+3+....+1997+1998+1999=\frac{1999\times \left( 2000\right)  }{2}

1+2+3+....+1997+1998+1999=\frac{3998000  }{2}

1+2+3+....+1997+1998+1999=1999000

Find an exact value cos(19pi/12)
dmitriy555 [2]

cos\left ( \frac{9\pi}{12}\right )=\frac{\sqrt{2-\sqrt{3}}}{2}

Step-by-step explanation:

We know that

          cos 2x = 2cos²x - 1

So we have

          cosx=\sqrt{\frac{1+cos2x}{2}}

Substituting x=\frac{19\pi}{12}

         cos\left ( \frac{19\pi}{12}\right )=\sqrt{\frac{1+cos2\left ( \frac{19\pi}{12}\right )}{2}}\\\\cos\left ( \frac{19\pi}{12}\right )=\sqrt{\frac{1+cos\left ( \frac{19\pi}{6}\right )}{2}}\\\\cos\left ( \frac{9\pi}{12}\right )=\sqrt{\frac{1+cos570}{2}}\\\\cos\left ( \frac{9\pi}{12}\right )=\sqrt{\frac{1-\frac{\sqrt{3}}{2}}{2}}\\\\cos\left ( \frac{9\pi}{12}\right )=\sqrt{\frac{2-\sqrt{3}}{4}}\\\\cos\left ( \frac{9\pi}{12}\right )=\frac{\sqrt{2-\sqrt{3}}}{2}

   cos\left ( \frac{9\pi}{12}\right )=\frac{\sqrt{2-\sqrt{3}}}{2}
