Which expression is positive (-7)(13) or (14)(-2)?

Neither of them are positive because a negative times a positive is always a negative.

now if there is a typo, and these are supposed to be added/subtracted, then that is a different story

Neither of them are positive. Unless you have two positives that multiply each other. Correct me if I understand the problem wrong please.
