The datum level of this problem would be Jessica's eye level. If you visualize the diagram, it would create a right triangle. The base would be 150 feet and the opposite angle of the height is 84 degrees.

Using the tangent function:

tan84 = opposite side/adjacent side = h/150
h = 150*tan84
h = 1427.15 feet

The total height would be added with 5 since the height of the building must obviously start from the ground, not eye level.

h = 5 + 1427.15
h = 1432.15 ft

Complete the equation 0.037 x ? = 37 pls hurry
OleMash [197]

Answer:

The missing number is 1000

Step-by-step explanation:

0.037 × ? = 37

Divide both sides by 0.037.

a = \frac{37}{0.037}

Expand \frac{37}{0.037} by multiplying both the numerator and the denominator by 1000.

a = \frac{37000}{37}

Divide 37000 by 37 to get 1000.

a = 1000

Hope it helps and have a great day! =D

Hi can some please help?
Oduvanchick [21]
So I'm assuming that you're taking Calculus.
The first thing you want to do is take the integral of f(x)...
Use the power rule to get:
4X^2-13X+3.
Now solve for X when f(x)=0. This is because when the slope is 0, it is either a minimum or a maximum(I'm assuming you know this)
Now you get X=0.25 and X=3. Since we are working in the interval of (1,4), we can ignore 0.25
Thus our potential X values for max and min are X=1,X=4,X=3(You don't want to forget the ends of the bounds!)
Plugging these value in for f(x), we get
f(1)=2.833
f(3)=-8.5
f(4)=1.667
Thus X=1 is the max and X=3 is the min.
So max:(1,2.833)
min:(3,-8.5)

Hope this helps!

Aaron bought a set of plastic ice cubes with a mixture of water and air inside.
SVETLANKA909090 [29]

Answer:

The volume of water and air inside each of the plastic ice cubes is 3000mm³

Step-by-step explanation:

This problem bothers on the mensuration of solid shapes, rectangular pyramid.

The volume of a rectangular pyramid is expressed as

V=(l*w*h)/3

Given data

Length l = 20mm

Width w= 15mm

Height h= 30mm

Substituting our given data we have

V= 20*15*30/3

V= 9000/3

V= 3000mm³
