**I'm assuming you meant "Negative plus Positive"**

Honestly, when you add a negative number to a positive number, the outcome depends on the numbers added together.

For example, if you add -10 with 5, the sum is negative because the negative number is larger.

And on the other hand, if you add -5 and 10, the sum is positive because the positive number is larger.

Therefore, to determine whether a sum will be either positive or negative, see if there are larger negative numbers compared to positive numbers and vice-versa.

Hope this helps!

Find the greatest common factor of 15x2y3 and -18x3yz.
olganol [36]

For this case we have that by definition, the GFC (greatest common factor) of two numbers is given by the greater number that is a factor of both numbers. Then, let:

15x ^ 2y ^ 3\\-18x ^ 3yz

We decompose into factors:

15: 1,3,5,15

18: 1,2,3,6,9,18

The GFC is 3.

So, we have that the GFC of the expressions is:

3x ^ 2y

Answer:

3x ^ 2y

Which is not a statistical question?
Helga [31]

Answer:

d.

Step-by-step explanation:

A, B, and C ask questions that will be answered with different sets of data.

<u>example a:</u>

purple- 11 students

blue- 5 students

orange- 7 students

<u>example b:</u>

math- 27

history- 30

art- 25

<u>example c:</u>

history books: 12 lbs

math books: 15 lbs

science books: 10 lbs.

If it were to ask how many windows are there in each of the classrooms then it would be statistical.

you get the gist lol.

Paul has 2/3 as many postcards as Shawn. The number of postcards Shawn has is 4/5 of the number of postcards Tim has. If the thr
ahrayia [7]

Tim has 56 more postcards than Paul.

Step-by-step explanation:

Total postcards boys have = 280

Let,

x = Paul's postcards

y = Shawn's postcards

z = Tim's postcards

According to given statement;

x + y + z = 280      Eqn 1

x=\frac{2}{3}y                   Eqn 2

y = \frac{4}{5}z                   Eqn 3

Putting value of y from Eqn 3 in Eqn 2

x=\frac{2}{3}*\frac{4}{5}z\\\\x=\frac{8}{15}z            Eqn 4

Putting value of x and y from Eqn 4 and Eqn 3 in Eqn 1

\frac{8}{15}z+\frac{4}{5}z+z=280\\\\\frac{8z+12z+15z}{15}=280\\\\\frac{35z}{15}=280\\\\

Multiplying both sides by \frac{15}{35}

\frac{15}{35}*\frac{35}{15}z=280*\frac{15}{35}\\z=120

Putting z=120 in Eqn 3

y=\frac{4}{5}*120\\y=96

Putting y=96 in Eqn 2

x=\frac{2}{3}*96\\x=64

Difference of Tim and Paul = 120-64 = 56

Tim has 56 more postcards than Paul.
