The correct answers are A and D.

The Department of Education was created in the year 1980 and has 4,400 employees and a $68 billion budget.

The main goals of this department are :

- Establishing policies on federal financial aid for education. Distributing and monitoring these funds.

- Collecting data on American schools.

- Focusing national attention on key educational issues.

- Prohibiting discrimination and enforcing equal access to education to all individuals in the United States.

The Department of Education is not heavily involved in determining curricula or educational standards ( with the exception of the No Child Left Behind Act), this is left to state and local school districts. It does not establish school or colleges either. It does not run any schools or any school like institutions.

What would you identify as Roosevelt’s three most important contributions to progressive reform?
DENIUS [597]

Leading the progressive movement, Roosevelt promoted his "Square Deal" domestic initiatives.

Following an examination of the meat packing industry, Theodore Roosevelt backed the creation of the Pure Food and Drug Act. He dismantled a monopoly by utilizing the Sherman Antitrust Act as well. By 1901, state borders could no longer contain the reform upheaval. Furthermore, solutions were urgently needed for some issues that only the federal government seemed to be able to handle.

Roosevelt led his supporters out of the Republican convention after becoming convinced that his nomination had been stolen by the establishment. The Progressive ("Bull Moose") Party was established in August, with Roosevelt chosen to serve as its leader. The reform Republican governor of California, Hiram Johnson, was chosen as Roosevelt's running mate.

How did peasants contribute to the decline of Han China?
klemol [59]

The correct answer is crushed by taxes and debt, desperate peasants revolted

In the early years of the second century AD, the Han Dynasty declined. Peasant rebellions and rivalries in the Chinese court contributed to the fall. Even the public procurement system did not function properly and honestly: Chinese officials began to be chosen for public office because of their personal influence rather than their knowledge and intellect.

In the year 220 AD, the Han empire was fragmented into three kingdoms. Constant guerrillas have caused serious problems for China. This period of Chinese history is called the Age of Disunity, which lasted until 589 AD.
