Surface are just means that you need to find the area of every face, then add.

TO find the Area of the rectangle do 16*8 = 128

For the triangle the area formula is b*h*1/2 So do 7*8*1/2= 28

There are four sides total and two triangles and two rectangles so 28+28+128+128= 312

SO the surface area is 312 in cubed

To find the Surface Area of a Triangular based prism you need to use the following formula: SA= bXh÷2 X H (of the prism)

In the question you have shown, the height is 8in, the base is 7in, and the height of the prism is 16in

so SA= 7X8÷2X16
= 448in^2
Therefore the Surface Area is 448in^2. Hope that helped!!

Given that the measure of X is 57° and the measure of y is 51° find the measure of z
avanturin [10]

9514 1404 393

Answer:

 132°

Step-by-step explanation:

Name the vertex of each angle the same as the angle letter. Name the intersection of the "horizontal" and "vertical lines" point Q.

Angle ZXQ is vertical to ∠x, so is the same measure.

Angle YQX is the value that makes the sum of angles in triangle XYQ be 180°. That is ...

 ∠YQX = 180° -51° -57° = 72°

This is also the measure of its vertical angle in the other triangle. Angle z is the sum of that vertical angle and 60°, so we have ...

 ∠z = 72° +60°

 ∠z = 132°

_____

Additional comment

The relations we used are ...

 • vertical angles are congruent
 • sum of angles in a triangle is 180°
 • an exterior angle is equal to the sum of the remote interior angles

An airplane's altitude in feet during its descent can be found using the equation y=-150x + 30,500. After new government regulat
Inga [223]

Answer:

The airplane would starts its descent from an altitude 500 feet lower.

Step-by-step explanation:

The x-axis is horizontal and the y-axis is vertical (altitude). It would be 500 feet lower because they took 500 away from the 30,000.
