For this case what you can do is see the problem as a rectangle triangle where you must find the hypotenuse of it.
 Therefore we have that the distance traveled will be:
 d = root ((10) ^ 2 + (20) ^ 2)
 d = 22.36 miles.
 Answer:
 if there was a road going southeast straight to his destinantion he would do to go 22.36 miles.

Plants The world's largest flower, the Giant Raffesia is 91 centemeters in diameter. Use a calculator to find the circumference
Kamila [148]
We know that
circumference=pi*D
where
D is the diameter
D=91 cm
so
pi-----> is the value of the calculator------> 3.1415926535897932
circumference=pi*91------> 285.88 cm------> 285.9 cm

the answer is
285.9 cm

If the area of AABC is D, give the expressions that complete the equation for the measure of ZB?
Ira Lisetskai [31]

Given:

The figure of triangle ABC.

The area of the triangle ABC is D.

m\angle B=\sin ^{-1}(\dfrac{m}{n})

To find:

The value of m and n in the given expression.

Solution:

Let h be the height of the triangle ABC.

Area of a triangle is:

Area=\dfrac{1}{2}\times base\times h

Where, b is the base and h is the height of the triangle.

Area=\dfrac{1}{2}\times a\times h

The area of the triangle ABC is D.

D=\dfrac{1}{2}\times a\times h

2D=ah

\dfrac{2D}{a}=h                  ...(i)

In a right angle triangle,

\sin \theta =\dfrac{Perpendicular}{Hypotenuse}

\sin B =\dfrac{h}{c}

\sin B =\dfrac{1}{c}\times \dfrac{2D}{a}              [Using (i)]

\sin B =\dfrac{2D}{ac}

m\angle B =\sin ^{-1}\dfrac{2D}{ac}            ...(ii)

We have,

m\angle B=\sin ^{-1}(\dfrac{m}{n})          ...(iii)

On comparing (ii) and (iii), we get

m=2D

n=ac

Therefore, the required values are m=2D, n=ac.

Solve h(x) = 5 - 9x Find h(8)
Alex_Xolod [135]

h(x) = 5 - 9x

h(8) = 5 - 9×8 ( putting value x = 8)

h(8) = 5 - 72

h(8) = -67

Answer is -67.
