In humans, coral is sometimes used to replace sections of BONE. Human bone and the hard, rocky sections of the coral reef are both made of similar calcium compounds. They are the larges living structures on the planet. Corals take in dissolved CO2 along with other minerals from the ocean to secrete a hard rocky skeleton.

Coral reefs are also studied for their antibiotic and antiviral properties.

Like organs in an organism, each organelle has a specific function in a cell. All of the organelles work together to carry out the functions of the cell as a whole, just as organs do to an organism. Each organelle contributes to the function of the cell as a whole, and they are essential for the cell's survival.

What happens to the atmosphere and hydrosphere during a hurricane?
STatiana [176]
The hot ocean waters warm the air above them and evaporate very large amounts of water vapor. This water vapor is the fuel for a hurricane as it strengthens through the hidden heat released by condensation of the vast amounts of water vapor.

1. Which is more likely to form a fossil-a turtle or a tarantula? Explain the reason for your choice.
Svetllana [295]

Answer:

Turtle

Explanation:

I would think a turtle because of its shell and bones. The shell or bones could leave an imprint in mud that could turn into a fossil or the bones/shell itself could become a fossil. (Because what do they find? dinosaur bones) A tarantula doesn't have bones, is much smaller, and I would think would disappear quickly once it dies.
