Reaction of interest is: Ca + 2H2O ↔<span> Ca(OH)2 + H2

Answer 1:
</span><span>Number of moles of calcium = </span>\frac{\text{weight of Ca (g)}}{\text{Atomic Weight}}

Atomic weight of Ca = 40.078 g/mol

Therefore, Number of moles of calcium = \frac{\text{4.8}}{\text{40.078}}
                                                               = 0.1198.

Number of moles of Ca = 0.1198.
....................................................................................................................

Answer 2:
Number of moles of water = \frac{\text{weight of H2O (g)}}{\text{Molecular Weight}}

Molecular weight of H2O = 18 g/mol

Therefore, Number of moles of water = \frac{\text{3.6}}{\text{18}}
                                                               = 0.2.

Number of moles of water = 0.2.
......................................................................................................................

Answer 3:
Number of moles of water = 0.2
Number of moles of Ca = 0.1198

Here it can be seen that, Number of moles of water > Number of moles of Ca.
Hence, water is in excess.
.........................................................................................................................

Answer 4:
Number of moles of water that is in excess = 0.2 - 0.1198
                                                                     = 0.0802

We know that, 1 mole of water ≡ 18 g of water
Therefore, 0.0802 mole of water ≡ 1.4436 g of water.

Thus, 1.4436 g of water is excess in the experiment.

The respiratory rate times the tidal volume corrected for the dead air space in the lungs is the __________.
pav-90 [236]

Answer:

d. alveolar ventilation rate

Explanation:

Alveolar Ventilation rate (AVR) refers to the rate of airflow that reaches the alveoli which is available for gas exchange with the blood in a given unit of time. AVR is generally calculated as the amount in millimeters of air expired that equilibrates (i.e., exchanges) with alveolar gas per min unit (ml/min). AVR is affected by breathing frequency, tidal volume ( i.e., the normal amount of air between inhalation and exhalation), and the amount of dead space in the lungs.

Many diseases are caused by a disruption in the metabolism of glycogen, which can lead to an excess of glycogen being stored in
Jobisdone [24]

If there is too much of glycogen and fat stored in a cell can be toxic. It damages the organs and leads to diseases.

Explanation:

Glycogen is stored in the liver or muscle tissue, the diseases affect functioning of the liver, kidney and the muscles. These diseases are mainly caused by genetic enzyme that is inherited from both parents.

The glycogen storage diseases are Von Gierke disease, Pompe's disease, Cori's disease, Hers' disease. The symptoms of this glycogen storage diseases are Low blood sugar, An enlarged liver, A swollen belly, weak muscles.

It is a metabolic disorder caused by enzyme deficiencies affecting glycogen synthesis in muscles.

Bean plants significantly change the development of their roots when they make nodules, as well as diverting energy and resource
fomenos

Answer:

The roots organ is genereally placed under the soil and may undero variious modifications. The roots are present in plant that help them to absorb water and nutrient from the soil.

Some plant roots contains the bacteria that helps in the conversion of nitrogen into ammonium ions. The plants changes the roots because the rhizobium present in plant roots helps in the conversion of nitrogen so that it can be used by the plants. The Rhizobium produces ammonium (NH4+) ions.
