3 yards = $7.47
1 yard = $(7.47 ÷ 3) = $2.29
2 yards = $ (2.29 × 2) = $5.58
$ (7.47 + 5.58) = $ 13.05

You divide 7.47 by 3. Which is 2.49
Then you multiply 2.49 by 2 which is 4.98
The two extra yards of fabric would cost $4.98

There are 22 people in a room, if everyone shakes everyone else’s hand exactly one time, how many handshakes would that be total
PolarNik [594]

There will be 231 handshakes in total

<em><u>Solution:</u></em>

There are 22 people in a room

Everyone shakes everyone else’s hand exactly one time

<em><u>To find: Total number of handshakes in total</u></em>

Let,

n = total number of people that will shake hands

but since all (total) can't shake hands with themselves, hence we subtract one individual to start the handshaking

(n - 1) = people would each shake hands

hence we multiply both total number persons with people that will shake hands;

n(n - 1)

but that counts every handshake twice, so we have to divide by 2

Therefore;

\frac{n(n-1)}{2}

Here, n = 22

\frac{n(n-1)}{2} = \frac{22(22-1)}{2} = 11 \times 21 = 231

Thus there will be 231 handshakes in total

Please help to solve the equations!
avanturin [10]
Glad to help, but in my view "helping" means providing you with assistance only after you've begun your own efforts to solve these problems.

Look at    <span>3(k+5)=-2(3k-6).  Goal:  Solve for k.
Multiplying where indicated:

             3k + 15 = -6k + 12

Add 6k to both sides:         9k = 12 - 15

dividing both sides by 9:  k = -3/9, or    k = -1/3   (answer).

Please start one of the other solutions; ask if you have questions about it.</span>

PLEASE GET THIS RIGHT!! PICTURE BELOW
Reil [10]

Answer:

The answer is A.

Step-by-step explanation:

Tammy got A because if you had the two fractions together you get 1 and ⅝. This is because if you change ½ so the denominator is an 8 it is 4/8. 4/8 plus ⅛ equals ⅝. and 8 - 5 = 3. This means that there is still ⅜ left of the second pizza. this means that there is less than ½ pizza left.

If I was correct can you please mark me Brainliest? Thank you ad have a nice day!
