my best guess is 135 because if it can fit cubes with 1/4 inch sides, that means it can fit 9 cubes going lengthwise, and 3 cubes wide which is 27 cubes on the base. then it can fit 5 cubes, all 1/4 inch going up because in 1 1/4 inch there are 5 quarter inches. so if you multiply 27 by 5 you get 135. I hope that helps a little bit:)

I know this is not much help but I wrote all my work down and got 135 as well so I’m glad you got the correct answer. You will struggle sometimes, especially with challenging questions like that but remember it will always get easier as you go alone((: good luck to you!

Find the z-scores (two of them) that separate the middle 48% of the distribution from the area in the tails of the standard norm
djverab [1.8K]

Answer:

The  z-scores are   Z_{\frac{\alpha }{2} } = 0643 and  Z_{\frac{\alpha }{2} } = - 0643

Step-by-step explanation:

From the question we are told that

The  middle of the distribution area considered is  48%

Now the rest of the area under the standard normal distribution area is  mathematically evaluated

      \alpha = 100- 48

      \alpha = 52 \%

      \alpha = 0.52

Now to obtain the area occupied by this proportion at the two tails we divide by 2 i.e

    \frac{\alpha }{2} = \frac{0.52}{2} =0.26

Now the z-score is obtained from the normal distribution table and the value is

     Z_{\frac{\alpha }{2} } \pm 0.643

The \pm shows that we are considering the two-talil
