Amylase is an enzyme, which are protein molecules that help in the breakdown of complex substances. Enzymes have optimum conditions in which they operate, which also include specific pH ranges. The pH in the stomach is too low for amylase to work in, so amylase is denatured and does not perform its function in the stomach.

The other organ producing amylase is the pancreas.

UkoKoshka [18]

Answer:

Explanation:

From the question, Harry seem to have forgotten that It's the CO2 (carbondioxide) level not the O2 (oxygen)level that gives rise to the urge to breathe. That is to say that once the CO2 level in the blood is high, the brain will trigger a breathing response, that will cause the person(Harry) to try to gasp for air. Also, Harry is jeopardizing his time and life because Hyperventilation itself reduces the CO2 concentration of the blood to below normal level, this makes the bloods pH value to raise, this in turn causes the constriction of the blood vessels that supply the brain, and prevents the transportation of certain electrolytes necessary for the function of the nervous system.

When the body is exposed to allergens or irritants, it will trigger the immune systems through different mechanism. However, the common pathway would result to multi-cellular inflammation, enhanced bronchial responsiveness, airflow obstruction and activation of immunological cell infiltration. Here, the inflammatory cell infiltrate are composed of varying amounts of eosinophils, neutrophils, and lymphocytes.

Moreover, T cells in the lung appear to orchestrate an immune response with a strong T helper type 2 (Th2) component when allergens drive the process.
