Undefined slope would mean that the line is vertical (ie x = (something) )
at the point (3/2, 2/3) the x part of that is 3/2

therefore the equation would be x = 3/2

Note:
Any line that has a zero slope is a horizontal line.

Any line with an undefined slope is a vertical line.

So if the line has undefined slope and passes through (3/2, 2/3)

At that point x = 3/2 = 1.5, and y = 2/3.

The graph would be a line that is vertical, and as such it would an equation:

x = 3/2.      This is the vertical line.

x = 3/2

Solve using elimination 2x-y=-22 and -7x+y=67 <br> (9,4)<br> (-9,-4)<br> (-4,9)<br> (-9,4)
suter [353]

Answer: (-9,4)

Step-by-step explanation:

2x-y=-22

-7x+y=67

-5x=45

x=-9

2(-9)-y=-22

-18-y=-22

-y=-4

y=4

The answer is 14 when rounded to the nearest whole number, to get this you simply must divide 43 by 3 which equals to 14.333.

The midpoint of AB is M(-5,1). If the coordinates of A are (-4,-5), what are the coordinates of B?
Elenna [48]

<u>ANSWER:</u>

The midpoint of AB is M(-5,1). The coordinates of B are (-6, 7)

<u>SOLUTION: </u>

Given, the midpoint of AB is M(-5,1).

The coordinates of A are (-4,-5),

We need to find the coordinates of B.

We know that, mid-point formula for two points A(x_{1}, y_{1}) and B (x_{1}, y_{2}) is given by

M\left(x_{3}, y_{3}\right)=\left(\frac{x_{1}+x_{2}}{2}, \frac{y_{1}+y_{2}}{2}\right)

Here, in our problem, \mathrm{x}_{3}=-5, \mathrm{y}_{3}=1, \mathrm{x}_{1}=-4 \text { and } \mathrm{y}_{1}=-5

Now, on substituting values in midpoint formula, we get

(-5,1)=\left(\frac{-4+x_{2}}{2}, \frac{-5+y_{2}}{2}\right)

On comparing, with the formula,

\frac{-4+x_{2}}{2}=-5 \text { and } \frac{-5+y_{2}}{2}=1

-4+\mathrm{x}_{2}=-10 \text { and }-5+\mathrm{y}_{2}=2

\mathrm{x}_{2}=-6 \text { and } \mathrm{y}_{2}=7

Hence, the coordinates of b are (-6, 7).
