Speed of Lois' bike = 10 miles/h

Speed of Lois' friend's car = 25 miles/h

Time taken by Lois to reach via car = t hours

Time taken by Lois to reach via bike = 1.5 + t

We know that the distance traveled in both the cases is the same

Hence, distance traveled by car = distance traveled by bike

⇒ Speed of car × time taken by car = Speed of bike × time taken by bike

⇒ 25 × t = 10 × (t+1.5)

⇒ 25t = 10t + 15

⇒ 15t = 15

⇒ t = 1

Hence, Lois took t + 1.5, i.e. 2.5 hours to reach his friend's house.

Tyler has at most $20 to spend on rides and games at the carnival. Each ride costs $0.75 and each game costs $0.50. Which inequa
GaryK [48]

Answer:

The inequality that can be used to determine how many rides r and games g Tyler can pay for at the carnival is:

0.75r+0.50g≤20, where:

r is the number of rides

g is the number of games

Step-by-step explanation:

With the information provided, you can say that the amount spent at the carnival is equal to the cost per ride for the number of rides plus the cost per game for the number of games. Also, given that the statement indicates that Tyler has at most $20, the inequality would indicate that the amount spent has to be less than or equal to 20. According to this, the inequality that can be used to determine how many rides r and games g Tyler can pay for at the carnival is:

0.75r+0.50g≤20, where:

r is the number of rides

g is the number of games

School A has graduated 1,700 students and graduates
Alisiya [41]

Answer:

the answer is 11 years

Step-by-step explanation:

if school A is graduated 50/years,

the graduated in 11 years is 550

added of graduated 1,700 in 550 is 2,250

if school B is graduated 150/years,

the graduated in 11 years is 1650

added of graduated 600 in 1650 is 2,250

so School A and B is to be equal in 11 years

saul85 [17]
He needs to learn >10 new plays, but has already learned 4. Therefore, the inequality is x+4>10, where x is the amount of new plays he must learn, 4 is the amount he has already learned and >10 (more than 10) is the amount of plays he needs to learn in total.
x+4>10
x>6 is the solved inequality
