Explanation:

   DRV  summarizes Daily Recommended Values, which means the amounts of nutrients that people must consume to have a healthy diet. For each nutrient, Daily Value is different as each one has a role in food and should be consumed in a specific amount.

   The percentage (which appears as % DV in the labels) is how much that portion of food contributes to meeting that nutrient's daily requirement.  For example, if the calcium recommendation is 1000 mg per day and one serving provides 200 mg, that means 20% recommended value.
