To preserve Zoological garden expertise are needed to manage the creatures that are there.

Good and conducive environment should be provided for the animals.

Routine cleaning to avoid outback of diseases

Adequate resources should be provided this include food to avoid eviction of important species.

Geosphere is made up of the crust they form the layer of soil that support growth of plant and also supply nutrients.

Atmosphere is made of gas some of which help sustain life. Example is oxygen, carbon dioxide

Hydrosphere form the liquid portion of the earth it included large water bodies that serves as habitat for aquatic organism.

Oxygen and carbon are been released into the atmosphere where they are been taking up by plant or animal dead and remains of this organism lead to the release of this gases in both organic and in organic form back into the soil where it is taken up by plants back into the atmosphere and some are washed in the water bodies.

Plants takes in carbon-dioxide from atmosphere, absorbs nutrients from the soil through their root and water from the water table needed fro their growth.

So, as many awesome facts about rainforests needed if possible! Thanks!
Ratling [72]

Answer: Rainforests only cover around 2 percent the total surface area of the Earth, but really about 50 percent of the plants and animals on the earth live in the rainforest. Rainforests are the forests that receive high amount of rainfall. You can find rainforests in many countries, not just in South America. They can be found in Alaska and Canada, as well as Asia, Africa and Latin America. Rainforests are found on all of the different continents, except for Antarctica because it is far too cold there for the environment to be conducive. There are two different types of rainforests, and they include both temperate and tropical. The tropical rainforests are the ones that are most commonly found around the world. Fact 6: Rainforests help to regulate the temperatures around the world and the weather patterns as well. A fifth of our fresh water is found in tropical rainforests, the Amazon Basin to be exact. Rainforests help to maintain our supply of drinking water, so they are critical in the sustainability of the earth. About 1/4 of natural medicines have been discovered in rainforests. Within four square miles of tropical rainforest, you will find 1500 flowering plant species, 750 types of trees, and many of these plants can be helpful in combating cancer. 70% or more of the plants that are used to treat cancer are found only in the tropical rainforests on the planet. Over 2000 types of plants that you find in the rainforest can be used to help aide in cancer treatment because they have anti cancer properties. The Amazon rainforest is the largest tropical rainforest in the world. rainforests have actually been analyzed to determine their value in the world of medicine. Rainforests are threatened each and every day, especially by practices such as agriculture, ranching, logging and mining. There were around 6 million square miles of rainforest in the beginning, but now because of deforestation, there are really only less than half of that still found in the world.

Examine the genotype for an individual who is AaBbCcDc. Predict the outcomes of meiosis and the potential gamete combinations th
Katarina [22]

Answer: 16 different gametes

  1. ABCD
  2. ABCd
  3. ABcD
  4. ABcd
  5. AbCD
  6. AbCd
  7. AbcD
  8. Abcd
  9. aBCD

  11. aBcD
  12. aBcd
  13. abCD
  14. abCd
  15. abcD
  16. abcd

Explanation:

Gamete formation involves the random and independent segregation of alleles. During anaphase 1 (meiosis), occurs the independent separation of homologous chromosomes that migrate to opposite poles of the cell. This separation generates different chromosomal combinations in the daughter cells. There are two alternatives per homologous pair.

The number of gametes with different combinations is 2ⁿ, where

n = number of homologous pairs.

In the exposed example there are 4 pairs of chromosomes, so

the number of possible combinations of chromosomes = 2ⁿ = 2⁴ = 16

Individual: AaBbCcDdEe

You can make use of the fork line method to easily figure out the possible gametes.

A.......B.........C........D → ABCD

                     ........d → ABCd

a.......B.........C........D → aBCD

                     ........d → aBCd

          ...........c.........D → aBcD

which of the following resulted from codominance? 1)a person with AB blood type 2)a flower with pink petals 3)a rabbit with whit
katrin [286]
1) As blood groups A and B are equally dominant so the individual will express both characteristics in the phenotype.
Notice how in all the 3 other examples the organism is only expensive 1 version (allele) of each gene. For example the mouse with brown fur may have 2 brown fur alleles (and so would have to express this characteristic even if it was recessive) but it could have 1 allele which is less dominant than the brown, in which case brown would be expressed. In this case the alleles were not co-dominant.

Which ecosystems are found in intertidal zones? Check all that apply. Estuaries tide pools coral reefs kelp forests salt marshes
tatuchka [14]

The ecosystem is defined as the stable interaction of biotic and abiotic factors in the surroundings. The intertidal is a zone of ecosystem found between land and water.

What is the Intertidal Zone of Ecosystem?

  • The intertidal zone is defined as the point or site where the ocean meets the land between high and low tides. The zone can be found at any point where the land meets the ocean.

  • The ecosystem found in the intertidal zones are estuaries, tide pools, and salt marshes.

Thus, the intertidal zone supports the ecosystem of marshes, tidal pools, and estuaries.
