Answer: population size of its prey

Explanation:

A predator can be define as an organism which kills another organisms so as to obtain them as food. The organism which is killed is called as prey. Generally, in a food chain the predator is more superior and powerful than the prey, therefore, it is capable of capturing and killing the prey.

According to the given situation, the population size of the predators is directly controlled by the population size of it's prey. This is because of the fact that prey is the source of food for the predators. In anyway if the population size of the prey decreases the population size of the predator will also decrease.

What mass of copper is produced when zinc is added to a solution containing 31.9g copper ii tetraoxosulphate vi
solmaris [256]

Answer:

12.7g of Cu

Explanation:

First let us generate a balanced equation for the reaction. This is illustrated below:

Zn + CuSO4 —> ZnSO4 + Cu

Molar Mass of Cu = 63.5g/mol

Molar Mass of CuSO4 = 63.5 + 32 + (16x4) = 63.5 + 32 + 64 = 159.5g/mol

From the equation,

159.5g of CuSO4 produced 63.5g of Cu.

Therefore, 31.9g of CuSO4 will produce = (31.9 x 63.5) / 159.5 = 12.7g of Cu

A 0.907 mole sample of ideal gas at 12c occupies a volume of 4.25L. What is the pressure of gas?
mel-nik [20]

Pressure of the ideal gas=505.7kPa

Given:

No of moles=0.907mole

Temperature of the gas=12^{\circ} \mathrm{C}

Volume of the gas=4.25L

To find:

Pressure of the gas

<u>Step by Step Explanation: </u>

Solution:

According to the ideal gas equation

P V=n R T and from this pressure is derived as

P=\frac{n R T}{V}

Where P=Pressure of the gas

V=Volume of the gas=4.25L

n=No of the moles=0.907mole

R=Gas constant=8.314J / m o l^{-1} K^{-1}

T=Temperature of the gas=12^{\circ} \mathrm{C} =273+12=285K

Substitute these known values in the above equation we get

P=\frac{0.907 \times 8.314 \times 285}{4.25}

P=\frac{2149.13}{4.25}

P=505.7kPa

Result:

Thus the pressure of the ideal gas is 505.7kPa
