Pressure of the ideal gas=505.7kPa

Given:

No of moles=0.907mole

Temperature of the gas=12^{\circ} \mathrm{C}

Volume of the gas=4.25L

To find:

Pressure of the gas

<u>Step by Step Explanation: </u>

Solution:

According to the ideal gas equation

P V=n R T and from this pressure is derived as

P=\frac{n R T}{V}

Where P=Pressure of the gas

V=Volume of the gas=4.25L

n=No of the moles=0.907mole

R=Gas constant=8.314J / m o l^{-1} K^{-1}

T=Temperature of the gas=12^{\circ} \mathrm{C} =273+12=285K

Substitute these known values in the above equation we get

P=\frac{0.907 \times 8.314 \times 285}{4.25}

P=\frac{2149.13}{4.25}

P=505.7kPa

Result:

Thus the pressure of the ideal gas is 505.7kPa

How many liters of H2O gas are produced when
anyanavicka [17]
1 mole C3H8 produces 4 moles H2O. So, first we convert 32 grams of propane to moles and then find moles of H2O. Then convert moles of H2O to grams of H2O
Moles of H2O produced = 32 g C3H8 x 1 mole/44 g x 4 moles H2O/mole C3H8 = 2.909 moles H2O
Grams H2O produced = 2.909 moles H2O x 18 g/mole = 52.36 g = 52 g H2O

How many grams of the excess reactant are left over according to the reaction below given that you start with 10.0 g of Al and 1
valentinak56 [21]
<span>4 Al + 3 O2 → 2 Al2O3

(10.0 g Al) / (26.98154 g Al/mol) = 0.37062 mol Al
(19.0 g O2) / (31.99886 g O2/mol) = 0.59377 mol O2

0.37062 mole of Al would react completely with 0.37062 x (3/4) = 0.277965 mole of O2, but there is more O2 present than that, so O2 is in excess.

((0.59377 mol O2 initially) - (0.277965 mol O2 reacted)) x (31.99886 g O2/mol) =
10.1 g O2 left over</span><span>
