Pessimism is the tendency to focus on the negative and expect the worst. Those who are pessimistic are referred to as "pessimists".

The opposite of pessimism is optimism. "Optimists" focus on the positives and always hope for the best.

This difference of personality types is highlighted in the age old question; "Is this glass half-full, or half-empty?"

Pessimism would be the term. A pessimist often focuses on the most dangerous or bad outcomes in life, letting it cloud their happiness and judgement occasionally(being a mindset/lifestyle and all).

Which of the following is NOT a true statement?
Alenkinab [10]

Answer:

Option A.

Explanation:

Psychotherapy refers to the treatment of mental disorders through the use of psychological methods, rather than physical methods.

Psychotherapy can be used to treat the following:

- stress

- anxiety

- depression

- bipolar disorder

- negative behavior patterns

- debilitating feelings, etc.

The belief that seeking psychotherapy is an admission of personal weakness is unfounded because seeking therapy can be likened to seeking help, as with various other aspects of our lives. It takes strength to admit that we need help, hence seeking psychotherapy is a sign of strength rather than a sign of weakness.
