Well, here's the thing:  If you knew the Pythagorean Theorem,
then you'd have an easy time telling the correct statements of
the Pythagorean Theorem from the incorrect ones.

On the list of choices in the picture, the first three of them are
completely wrong.

The last one is the correct one, but even that one is misleading.
The way it's worded, it sounds like a right triangle has more than two legs,
and that you can choose any two of them to work with.  Actually, a right
triangle has exactly two legs, no more and no less, and those are always
the two that you have to work with.

2. The volume of a cylinder varies jointly with its height and the square of the radius. A 7.85 cubic inch spice container is 2.
Natali [406]

Answer:

Volume=21.195 cubic inch

Step-by-step explanation:

The volume of a cylinder varies jointly with its height and the square of the radius is expressed as

V∝hr^2

Introducing our constant of proportionality,K we have that

V =Khr^2

Given that A 7.85 cubic inch spice container is 2.5 inches tall and has a radius of 1 inch. We have that

V =Khr^2

7.85=K 2.5 X 1^2

K=7.85/2.5 x1

K=3.14

Given that another spice container is 3 inches tall with a radius of 1.5 inches, Volume=?

V =Khr^2

V=3.14 X 3 X 1.5^2

V=21.195 cubic inch

Christian invested $2,300 in an account paying an interest rate of 5.5% compounded monthly. Assuming no deposits or withdrawals
Blizzard [7]

Answer: A = $4,830.00

(I = A - P = $2,530.00)

Step-by-step explanation:

Equation:

A = P(1 + rt)

Calculation:

First, converting R percent to r a decimal

r = R/100 = 5.5%/100 = 0.055 per year.

Solving our equation:

A = 2300(1 + (0.055 × 20)) = 4830

A = $4,830.00

The total amount accrued, principal plus interest, from simple interest on a principal of $2,300.00 at a rate of 5.5% per year for 20 years is $4,830.00.
