Find x-intercepts

f(x)=0
\\(2x-7)^7(x+3)^4=0
\\2x-7=0
\\x=3.5
\\x+3=0
\\x=-3

Determine the sign of the function:
x∈(-∞,-3)∪(-3,3.5)⇒y<0
x∈(3,5,+∞)⇒y>0

Therefore, point x=-3 is the maximum and point x=3.5 is the point of inflection.

Add or subtract the following mixed numbers using the first method. Be sure your answers are in mixed number format and reduced
Paraphin [41]
We have the number here are 3 3/8 and 2 1/6
by using the first method,
multiplying 3/8 with 3/3 and 1/6 with 4/4 we get 9/24 and 4/24 so,
3 9/24 + 2 4/24 = (3+2) and (9/24 + 4/24)
when adding 3 and 2 we get 5 and adding 9/24 and 4/24 we get 13/24
so the answer is 5 and 13/24

What is the slope of the line through(-4,2) and (3,-3)?
Nana76 [90]

Answer: -\frac{5}{7}

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the slope of the line, you want to use the formula m=\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}.

m=\frac{-3-2}{3-(-4)} =\frac{-5}{7}

Now we know the slope is -\frac{5}{7}.
