Answer:

Amount to be reported will be $2,335,500

Explanation:

Given

LIFO Balance = $291,000

LIFO Balance at 2021 = $427,000

Cost of goods = $2,190,000

First we need to calculate the LIFO reserve.

This is calculated by getting the allowance to reduce Inventory to LIFO.

In other words, it is the change in the allowance balance from one period to the next

= ½ * $291,000

= $145,000

The journal entry would look like this (below)

Dr Cost of Goods Sold $145,500

Cr Allowance to Reduce Inventory to LIFO $145,500

And the amount to be reported will be calculated as follows

$2,190,000 + $145,500 = $2,335,500

Katyanochek1 [597]

Answer:

$1.75 and $18,000,000

Explanation:

The computation of the fixed cost and the variable cost per  gross ton mile by using high low method is shown below:

Variable cost per gross ton mile = (High transportation cost - low transportation cost) ÷ (High  Gross-Ton Miles - low  Gross-Ton Miles)

= ($40,312,500 - $22,375,000) ÷ (12,750,000 miles - 2,500,000 miles)

= $17,937,500 ÷ 10,250 ,000 miles

= $1.75

Now the fixed cost equal to

= High operating cost - (High gross ton miles × Variable cost per gross ton mile)

= $40,312,500 - (12,750,000 miles × $23)

= $40,312,500 - $22,312,500

= $18,000,000

We simply applied the above formula
