Ohk you have to do what's in the parentheses ( ). so the first step you would have to multiply the negative sign with the 5x which you'll get -5x and then multiply (-) with 25 and you'll get -25 so now rewrite the whole equation agian so it'll be [5•x+5-5x-25] then you multiply 5•x and you'll get [5x+5-5x-25] and then the 5xs cancels out and 5-25 is -20. and if your wondering why it's a negative it's bc -25 is bigger so it takes the sign. hope this is helpful:)

Ok, so you have your equation, 5·x+5-(5x+25).
First, do the prathases, so you have, 5x+5-5x-25.(5·x also means 5x)
Now, you need to combine like terms, and through that the xs cancel out, so you are left with -20 as you answer.

As more and more people get their news online, the subscriptions to the Dorchester Daily has declined over the past years.
atroni [7]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

The function s(x)=0.9(.82)^x models the number of subscription in tens of thousands where x represents the number of years since the trend has been observed.

s(x) represents the number of subscriptions to the Dorchester Daily in a given year.

0.9 in ten thousands represents the initial number of subscriptions to the Dorchester Daily in a given year.

0.82 represents the rate at which the number of number of subscriptions to the Dorchester Daily is declining. The rate in percentage is 100 - 82 = 12% each year.

x represents the number of years since the trend has been observed.

Line M passes through the points (5,1) and (8,6) while line n passes through the point (-4,3) and (-1,8) . Which statement accur
kirill [66]
M=(6-1)/(8-5)=5/3

y=5x/3+b, using (5,1)

1=25/3+b

b=-22/3

y=(5x-22)/3

...

m=(8-3)/(-1--4)=5/3...

y=5x/3+b, using (-1,8)

8=-5/3+b

b=29/3

y=(5x+29)/3

Since they have the same slope and difference y-intercepts they are parallel lines and will never intersect.

Algebra please help fast
Artyom0805 [142]

Answer:

n = 20

Step-by-step explanation:

\frac{n+4}{6} = 4

You need to get rid of the 6 in the denominator on the left hand side to make it easier to solve, so multiply both sides by 6. So you would get:

( \frac{n+4}{6} ) × 6 = 4 × 6

n+4 = 24

Then just rearrange for n by subtracting 4 on both sides.

n+4 = 24

n= 24-4

n=20
