X + 7/6  = 2x - 7/6

x + 7/6 (-7/6) = 2x - 7/6 - (7/6)

x = 2x - 14/6

x (-2x) = 2x (-2x) - 14/6

-x = -14/6

x = 14/6 or 2.33

x = 2.33

hope this helps

Find the slope of the line passing through the points (7, -2) and (3, - 7).
professor190 [17]

Answer:

m = \frac{5}{4}

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the slope, we have to use the slope formula:

m = \frac{y_2 -y_1}{x_2 - x_1}.

Let (x_1,y_1) = (7, -2) and (x_2,y_2) = (3, -7). Then

m = \frac{(-7)-(-2)}{3-7} = \frac{-5}{-4} = \frac{5}{4}
