The correct answer is C) to pursue Parliament that simply because she has a child, does not guarantee that the child will be a competent ruler.

Queen Elizabeth’s purpose in the excerpt is to pursue Parliament that simply because she has a child, does not guarantee that the child will be a competent ruler.

In the excerpt, she says “The realm shall be not remain destitute of any hair that may be a fit governour, and peradventure more beneficial to the realm that such offspring as may come of me…” That was her way to pursue Parliament that simply because she has a child, does not guarantee that the child will be a competent ruler.

Elizabeth I (1533-1603) was the Queen of England from 1558 until her death. During his tenure, she took England to a prominent place in Europe due to the advances in trade, arts, and politics.

What do you think finally led some people to try to abolish slavery
Nutka1998 [239]
I believe, the change in perspective actually led those people to try and abolish slavery.
Back then, most people believe that nothing wrong with slavery and view it as something normal that just happen in society. (which is also essential for plantation's operation)
But overtime, they started to see how the slaves were suffering and struggling for their freedom to the point that they started to understand the slaves' feeling and willing to join the fight for their freedom.
