PLEASE HELP!!!Solve.a - 2b = 2a + b = 2 ( b + 3 )

3 0

a-2b=2.........(1)

a+b=2(b+3)

a+b=2b+6

a-b=6.......(2)

a-2b= 2

a-b= 6

Eliminate y

multiply (1)by -1

Multiply (2) by 2

-a+2b=-2

2a-2b=12

Add the two equations

a = 10

plug value of a in (1)

1a +-2b=2

10+-2b=2

-2b =2

-2b =-8

b=4.00

Hope this helped:)

1/4x+3/8 factored by the GCF
zhuklara [117]

Given:

\dfrac{1}{4}x+\dfrac{3}{8}

To find:

The factor form of given expression by the GCF.

Solution:

First we need to find the GCF of \dfrac{1}{4} and \dfrac{3}{8}.

So, make denominators same.

\dfrac{1}{4}=\dfrac{1\times 2}{4\times 2}=\dfrac{2}{8}

Now,

GCF\left(\dfrac{2}{8},\dfrac{3}{8}\right)=\dfrac{1}{8}

GCF\left(\dfrac{1}{4},\dfrac{3}{8}\right)=\dfrac{1}{8}

We have,

\dfrac{1}{4}x+\dfrac{3}{8}

It can be written as

=\dfrac{2}{8}x+\dfrac{3}{8}

Taking out the GCF \dfrac{1}{8}, we get

=\dfrac{1}{8}(2x+3)

Therefore, the required factor form is \dfrac{1}{8}(2x+3).

What is 413,125 rounded to the nearest ten thousand?
soldi70 [24.7K]
The digit '1', the first copy of '1', is in the ten thousands place. To the right of this digit is 3. Since 3 is not 5 or larger, we simply change everything after the '1' to zeros

So we go from 413,125 to 410,000

The final answer is 410,000

Sloan [31]
First draw a  rectangle. Label the longer sides as 20 feet long each. 20 + 20 = 40. that means there is 16 feet of fencing left for the shorter sides. This means that each of the shorter sides is 8 feet long  <span />
