Let
x = measure of angle TAP
y = measure of angle BRE

We're told that "angle BRE is its own complement" meaning that angle BRE added to itself is 90 degrees. In algebraic terms, we can say

y+y = 90
2y = 90
2y/2 = 90/2
y = 45

So angle BRE is 45 degrees. Note how 45+45 = 90.

We also know that angle TAP and angle BRE are supplementary. They add up to 180 degrees

x+y = 180
x+45 = 180 ... replace y with 45
x+45-45 = 180-45 ... subtract 45 from both sides
x = 135

Since we defined x to be the measure of angle TAP, this means that angle TAP is 135 degrees

Anyone know this question?<br><br>Just B please
Gre4nikov [31]

Answer:

52% and 7

Step-by-step explanation:

There are 25 squares of which 13 are shaded , then

\frac{13}{25} × 100% = 13 × 4% = 52°

(b)

1 square represents \frac{1}{25} × 100% = 1 × 4% = 4%

Then 80% = 80% ÷ 4% = 20

That is for 80% , 20 squares require to be shaded

That is 7 more than the 13 already shaded

If the diagonal of a square is approximately 12.73, what is the length of its sides?
Alja [10]

Answer:

The length of the sides of the square is 9.0015

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

The diagonal of a square = 12.73

Required

The length of its side

Let the length and the diagonal of the square be represented by L and D, respectively.

So that

D = 12.73

The relationship between the diagonal and the length of a square is given by the Pythagoras theorem as follows:

D^{2} = L^{2} + L^{2}

Solving further, we have

D^{2} = 2L^{2}

Divide both sides by 2

\frac{D^{2}}{2} = \frac{2L^{2}}{2}

\frac{D^{2}}{2} = L^2

Take Square root of both sides

\sqrt{\frac{D^{2}}{2}} = \sqrt{L^2}

\sqrt{\frac{D^{2}}{2}} = L

Reorder

L = \sqrt{\frac{D^{2}}{2}}

Now, the value of L can be calculated by substituting 12.73 for D

L = \sqrt{\frac{12.73^{2}}{2}}

L = \sqrt{\frac{162.0529}{2}}

L = \sqrt{{81.02645}

L = 9.001469325

L = 9.0015 (Approximated)

Hence, the length of the sides of the square is approximately 9.0015

HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!
lana [24]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

If you divide 2,727 miles by 27 miles per gallon you will get the number of gallons: = 101. Then, multiply the number of gallons by the cost per gallon: 101(4.04) = 408.04. This gives the cost of gas for this car to travel 2,727 typical miles.

Mr. Mole left his burrow and started digging his way down at a constant rate.
Art [367]

Mr. Mole's burrow was at an altitude of 6 meters below the ground.

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1:

We need to determine the distance that Mr. Mole covers in a single minute.

To do that we divide the difference in values of altitude by the difference in the time periods.

For the first case, Mr. Mole had traveled -18 meters in 5 minutes.

We also have, he traveled -25.2 meters in 8 minutes.

Step 2:

The distance he covered in 1 minute = \frac{-25.2-(-18)}{8-5} = \frac{-25.2+18}{3},

\frac{-25.2+18}{3} = \frac{-7.2}{3} = -2.4.

So with every minute, Mr. Mole digs down an additional 2.4 meters below the surface.

To determine where Mr. Mole's burrow is we subtract the distance traveled in 5 minutes from -18.

The altitude of Mr. Mole's burrow = -18 - 5(-2.4) = -18+12 = -6.

So Mr. Mole's burrow was at an altitude of 6 meters below the ground i.e. -6 meters.
