Cost of 2 lemons = $ 20.50

We have to find the cost of 7 lemons. We will use unitary method to solve this problem. The unitary method is a technique which is used for solving a problem by finding the value of a single unit, i.e., 1, (by dividing) and then finding the necessary value by multiplying the single unit value.

Since, Cost of 2 lemons = $20.50

Cost of 1 lemon = $ \frac{20.50}{2}

Cost of 1 lemon = $ 10.25

Cost of 7 lemons = $ 7 \times 10.25

So, Cost of 7 lemons = $ 71.75

Therefore, she will pay $71.75 for 7 lemons.

Elena L [17]
Add the numbers 7 + 10
17 - 7j = -10 - 4j
subtract 17 from both sides
-7j = -27 - 4j
add 4j to both sides
-3j = -27
divide both sides by -3
j = 9

A box contains 76 coins, only dimes and nickels. The amount in the box is $4.90. How many dimes and how many nickels are in the
dangina [55]

The number of dimes is 75 coins.

The number of nickels is 1 coin.

Step-by-step explanation:

It is given that,

A box contains 76 coins, only dimes and nickels.

  • The 10 cent coin is called a dime.
  • Let, the number of dimes be x.
  • The 5 cent coin is called a nickel.
  • Let, the number of nickels be y.

This is represented by the system of equations :

x + y = 76  -------(1)

10x + 5y = 4.90  ------(2)

Multiply eq (1) by 5 and subtract eq (2) from eq (1),

5x + 5y = 380

-(10x + 5y = 4.90)

-5x       = 375.1

x = 375/5

x = 75 coins.

The number of dimes is 75 coins.

Substitute x=75 in eq (1),

y = 76 - 75

y = 1 coin.

The number of nickels is 1 coin.

HELP PLEASE I'M CRYING, EASY 2 QUESTIONS
horsena [70]

Answer:

12) 154   squared meters

13) 307  cm^2

Step-by-step explanation:

12) A circle has area pi*r^2

r is half the diameter so half of 14 is 7

pi in this case is 22/7

A=22/7 * (7)^2

A=22/7  * 49

A=22     *49/7

A=22     *7

A=154 squared meters

13) Area of rectangle is 10(18)=180

      Area of half a circle is .5*pi*r^2=.5*pi*9^2

       Adding the two areas together would result in a total area of 307.2 squared centimeters
