Why do scientists consider many factors when assigning an organism to a species?

Biology

The reason why is a few things, first, they have to make sure that the organism is related, and that they can see that. They don't wanna assign a bird as an insect on accident, so they do tests and then determine. Second, the more factors the better, if you consider all the species in the world, and what makes them different from eachother you would have a very long list. And that is it.
I hope this helps. If you need clarity or anything just ask.

viktelen [127]
In my opinion, the correct answer among the choices listed is option C. The members of the kingdom Protista are least similar to a bacteria. Protists are eukaryotic organisms which cannot be classified as a fungus, animal, or a plant. They are mostly unicellular organisms.

During the Human Genome Project, scientists created a gene map showing the relative location of each known gene on every human c
Arlecino [84]

Answer:

Approximately 20,500 genes

Explanation:

The Human Genome Project (HGP) was a 13-year international research effort aimed at determining the entire DNA sequence of the human genome. The HGP was launched in 1990 and completed in April 2013. This project helped to identify and physically map all the genes of the human genome. The sequence obtained from the HGP has been a very useful point of reference in order to identify and characterize mutations associated with genetic disorders. The HGP predicted approximately 20,500 genes (each of them produces an average of three proteins), which are distributed in the 23 pairs of chromosomes in the cells of our body.
