Answer:

From the information given

x is time for which she ran at speed of 6mi/h and

y is time for which she biked at speed of 12.5 mi/h

total time = 3.5 h

total distance = 34 mi

so

6x + 12.5y = 34 and

x + y = 3.5

x = 3.5 - y

6 ( 3.5 - y) + y = 34

6.5y = 13 which gives

y = 2 and this

x = 1.5

so suze ran for 1.5 h and biked for 2 h

CHECK

speed of run X time of run + speed of biking x time of biking must be = total distance covered

6 × 1.5 + 12.5 × 2 = 9 + 25= 34 mi

which is true

Bethany and Aidan each have candy bars that are the same size and shape. Bethany's candy bar is marked so that it can be broken
vivado [14]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

This problem is most likely about what percentage of the candy does each individual have left. Since the phrase is explaining that each ones candy bar is the same size and can be broken into equally divided pieces then it is most likely about figuring out which one of the individual's has more candy left over when compared to the other's candy. This is possible since both candies are the same size but more information would be needed.

How many even 3-digit positive integers can be written using the digits 1,2,4,7, and 8?
N76 [4]

Looking at the question, we can see we have 5 different numbers that can go in any order.

5 * 4 * 3

The above is basically saying there are 5 different numbers that can be multiplied by 4 other numbers. Those 2 can be multiplied by 3 different ones, leaving us with a 3 digit positive integer.

5 * 4* 3 = 60
