Answer:

The infection which can be transferred by sexual contact are referred to as STI's(sexually transmitted infections). Sexually transmitted infections can be caused by bacteria and viruses.

To prevent long term health problems related to STI's a person should use protection during intercourse like using condoms. A person should avoid having more sex partners and avoid using used injections for any medical purpose.

It is also necessary to get check-ups for STI's time to time so that any early infection can be controlled by drugs, so early diagnosis and treatment is important. Therefore all these precautions should be taken to prevent STI's.
