In 1973, in roe v. wade, the supreme court employed a(n) ________ test.
sukhopar [10]
The Supreme Court here in Roe v. Wade used the compelling interest test.

To put it simply the compelling interest test is used by the court, federal or state, to check the if the law is constitutionally valid. In the Roe v. Wade case the Supreme Court had to see if  the right to privacy of the 14th Amendment is applied to abortion and they decided it did. They used the compelling interest test to balance this with the state's interest in the welfare of women and the potential human life that is the baby. So the court limited state's regulations on abortion.

How did the French and Indian War and the crowning of King George III change the relationship between the colonies and Great Bri
Hatshy [7]
The French-Indian was extremely costly. It left Britain with a huge debt. The British thought the colonists were to pay the debt because they were defending the colonies from the French. Britain also maintained a standing army in American colonies which was a huge financial stress. As a result, Great Britain taxed the colonies.

Marta_Voda [28]
The Spanish and French explorers both came to the New World in search of wealth. They also came to claim land for their countries and establish colonies in the New World. However, the Spanish forcefully took land and wealth by warring against the Native American tribes who resisted them. On the other hand, the French did not use force and violence. They traded with the Native American tribes, hunted the wildlife, and tried to find a northwest route to Asia.
