Answer:

The  number of children's tickets sold was 31 and the number of  adult tickets sold was 2

Step-by-step explanation:

Let

x ---> the number of children's tickets sold

y ---> the number of  adult tickets sold

we know that

the theater sold 33 tickets

so

x+y=33 -----> equation A

the theater made a total of $158.50

so

4.50x+9.50y=158.50 ----> equation B

Solve the system by graphing

Remember that the solution of the system is the intersection point both graphs

using a graphing tool

The solution is the point (31,2)

see the attached figure

therefore

The  number of children's tickets sold was 31 and the number of  adult tickets sold was 2

Shureka Washburn has scores of 67, 68, 76, and 63 on her algebra tests. a. Use an inequality to find the scores she must make
mash [69]
Average=(total number)/(number of items)
given that the final exam counts as two test, let the final exam be x. The weight of the final exams on the average is 2, thus the final exam can be written as 2x because any score Shureka gets will be doubled before the averaging.
Hence our inequality will be as follows:
(67+68+76+63+2x)/6≥71
(274+2x)/6≥71
solving the above we get:
274+2x≥71×6
274+2x≥426
2x≥426-274
2x≥152
x≥76

b] The above answer is x≥76, the mean of this is that if Shureka is aiming at getting an average of 71 or above, then she should be able to get a minimum score of 76 or above. Anything less than 76 will drop her average lower than 71.

You know 4−3i is the complex conjugate of 4+3i. If you multiply the denominator of −2+5i4+3i by 4−3i, what will you get? Enter y
Alona [7]

Answer:

25

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

(-2 + 5i)/(4 + 3i)

Required

Multiply the denominator by 4 - 3i

The denominator of the fraction above is 4 + 3i

When multiplied by 4 - 3i, the result is as follows;.

Result = (4 + 3i)(4 - 3i)

Expand

Result = 4(4 - 3i) + 3i(4 - 3i)

Open both brackets (take it one at a time)

Result = 4 * 4 - 4 * 3i + 3i(4 - 3i)

Result = 16 - 12i + 3i(4 - 3i)

Open the second bracket

Result = 16 - 12i + 12i - 3i * 3i

Result = 16 - 12i + 12i - 9i²

In complex numbers, i = √-1

i² = (√-1)²

i² = √-1 * √-1

i² = -1

The expression

Result = 16 - 12i + 12i - 9i²

Becomes

Result = 16 - 12i + 12i - 9(-1)

Result = 16 - 12i + 12i + 9

Collect like terms

Result = 16 + 9 + 12i - 12i

Result = 25 + 0

Result = 25

Hence, when the denominator of the fraction is multiplied by 4 - 3i, the result is 25
