Well what you have to do is divide 120 miles by 6
6 goes to 12,  2 times and leaves of 0
So you had 0 next to 2
The answer will be 20 miles each day.
TO check your answer. you can multiply
20 x 6 and it will equal 120 miles

120 miles over 6 days is written as 120/6
120 divided by 6 is 20
therefore the cyclists road 20 miles each day

(70/100).x = 98

0,7x = 98

x = 98/0,7

x = 140

Then, 90%x = 90%.140

= 0,9.(140)

= 126

The price of an item has dropped to $63 today. Yesterday it was $140. What was the percentage decrease?
den301095 [7]

Given:

a.) The price of an item has dropped to $63 today.

b.) Yesterday it was $140.

For us to be able to determine the percentage decrease, we will be using the following formula:

\text{ Percentage Decrease = }\frac{\text{ Original Price - Present Price}}{\text{ Original Price}}\text{ x 100}

We get,

Original Price = $140

Present Price = $63

\text{ Percentage Decrease = }\frac{\text{ Original Price - Present Price}}{\text{ Original Price}}\text{ x 100}\text{ = }\frac{\text{ 140 - 63}}{\text{ 140}}\text{ X 100}\text{ = }\frac{77}{140}\text{ X 100}\text{ = }0.55\text{ x 100}\text{Percentage Decrease  = }55\text{\%}

Therefore, the decrease of the price in percentage is 55%.

Two weather tracking stations are on the equator 146 miles apart. A weather balloon is located on a bearing of N 35°E from the w
jekas [21]

ANSWER:

Distance between two points W and E = 146 miles and B is the position of B (balloon)

Angle BWE =55 degrees and angle BEW =67 degrees therefore angle WBE = 180-55-67 =58 degrees

Using sine formula

w/sin (55)= b/sin(58)

w= 146{sin 55/ sin 58) =141 miles Step-by-step explanation:

The mean of the data is 18. What number is missing? 21,11,_,27,22,13,16
Ludmilka [50]

The missing number is 16

<em><u>Solution:</u></em>

Given that mean of data is 18

Let "x" be the missing number

The data set is:

21, 11, x , 27, 22, 13, 16

Sum of data set = 21 + 11 + x + 27 + 22 + 13 + 16

Sum of data set = 110 + x

<em><u>The mean is given by formula:</u></em>

Mean = \frac{\text{sum of all numbers}}{\text{total numbers in data set}}

Substituting the values we get,

18 = \frac{110+x}{7}\\\\126 = 110 + x\\\\x = 126 - 110\\\\x = 16

Thus the missing number is 16
