-21, -16, -11, -6, ...<br> Is this sequence arithmetic, geometric, or neither?
Kobotan [32]

Answer:

Geometric sequence

.Step-by-step explanation:

Geometric sequences are defined by an initial value and a common ratio . If a sequence does not have a common ratio or a common difference, it is neither an arithmetic nor a geometric sequence. You should still try to figure out the pattern and come up with a formula that describes it.

According to a survey by the Better Sleep Council, 33% of people admit to dozing off at their workplace. Assume this proportion
Lorico [155]

Answer:

Standard error of the proportion   = 0.04702

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Explanation</u>:-

According to a survey by the Better Sleep Council, 33% of people admit to dozing off at their workplace

The sample proportion p = 33% = 0.33

q = 1-p = 1-0.33 = 0.67

Given a random sample of 100 workers is selected from this population

Given sample size 'n' = 100

The standard error of the Proportion  is determined by

                                                                                     S.E = \frac{\sqrt{pq} }{\sqrt{n} }

                                                                                      S.E = \frac{\sqrt{0.33 X0.67} }{\sqrt{100} }

<u>Final answer</u>:-

  Standard error of the proportion   = 0.04702

The roof of the building shown below has a span of 48 feet. The rafters upon which the roof is laid are 30 feet long, including
anyanavicka [17]

Solution :

Given :

Span of the roof = 48 feet

Length of the rafter = 30 feet (including the 4 feet overhung)

So, for the 30 feet long rafter, 26 feet will be rafter length from the high point of the roof to the edge of the roof and 4 feet will be the roof overhung.

Therefore, the horizontal span per rafter is

$=\frac{48}{2}$

= 24 feet

a). So the rise of the roof is $= \sqrt{(26)^2-(24)^2}$

                                         = 10 feet

b). Pinch of the roof is $=\frac{\text{rise}}{\text{run}}$

                                     $=\frac{10}{24}$

                                     $=\frac{5}{12}$

c). The percent of the roof used as overhung is

     $=\frac{4+4}{60}\times 100$

     $=\frac{80}{6}$

       = 13.33 %

set up an equation to solve for x

2-x ≥ 0

subtract 2 from each side:

-x≥ -2

 multiply both sides by -1 ( to make x positive) and reverse the sign

x≤2
